did anybody bother to save the flash contents of the t30? (M50FW080 flash chip). If so, could you attach the file contents?

TIA

You should be able to extract what you need from the bios download available from IBM.
Cheers
Steve.

unfortunately not... for a 8Mb flash they have a 500kB flash update... that is half the size. More, the sectors are not written in order, some are encrypted....

What problem is it that you have ?
The 500kb once extracted is 1,056,768 bytes, which is a combination of bios data and the platform data, these used to be for example FL1 & FL2. They are now combined into the one file.

oarecare,
Yes there are problems with the original bios.
I asked - How did you get the bios dump ?
To quote you -
"desoldered the chip and read it with a programmer as i said, the laptop is dead. How do you expect me to revive it any other ways?"

Maybe Victor can help you.
"NO" Cheers
Steve.
